Physical AI / robotics

Robots move risk into the physical world.

A warehouse robot, inspection device or autonomous machine can combine software, hardware, operations and human interaction. No single label tells you what is insured. A licensed professional needs to review the actual deployment and policy language.

Questions to bring to a licensed professional

  • Could the system injure a person or damage someone else's property?
  • Who designed, manufactured, installed, maintains and operates it?
  • Can it move or act without a person approving each decision?
  • What are the override, testing, logging and incident-response procedures?
  • Does the business have existing general liability, product liability, technology E&O, cyber, equipment or other coverage, and how do their terms address this use?

What this page cannot tell you

It cannot determine whether a claim is covered, whether a particular policy is appropriate, or whether a carrier will insure your system. Those answers depend on underwriting and the specific policy terms.

This is educational information, not a policy recommendation, insurance application, quote or promise of availability.
